It has a strong cast of characters and an interesting plot. It's also got some rather amusing scenes, let's take Chapter 19 from Rise's route for example, Masaya sends a grown man flying with a single blow! Anyway, the art style is really neat, although I think the SD art is, to be frank, a bit on the crappy side. But then, that's coming from someone who isn't fond of SD art as a concept.I was kind of surprised at how heavy-duty the censoring of the steam edition is- I think it's just because Moonstone must do more heavy-duty censoring for their games than for example, Sekai Project. But I don't quite get why they took out what they did though. H-Scenes go without saying, obviously, but there is also some other stuff taken out or replaced as well. While the common route wasn't exactly engaging all of the time, the character routes definitely make up for it. In fact, after you get into the second part of the game, you know you're bound to witness something very exciting; there's drama in every route. Rating by route:Rise: 9/10Chiho: 8/10Ritsuko: 9/10Ayaka: 7/10Rise's route is amazing. I thought playing the routes in reversed order was a good idea; Ayaka > Ritsuko > Chiho > Rise because Rise's route is more of a true route since it answers more questions than the other routes and the drama gets thick later on, when you get to Chapter 25. We find out how Rise's mother, who started the shrine fire, seems to be a deranged, hopeless lost cause who couldn't deal with change, yet she is actually living in a dream and was in an aggravated mental state. The whole thing was just incredibly gripping. There were loads of funny moments, too, like when the Goons came and crashed the Culture Festival. My god, I've never seen someone completely LOSE it to the point they don't know their own strength.Ritsuko's route is a close second; it's actually really touching and you get to see how she becomes open and honest with her feelings, therefore able to show her true colors. The drama is an uphill gradient, and practically touches the sky near the end, well, Chapter 24 is called "An Incident", for instance.Chiho's route was also pretty good. There are some very funny scenes like when Masaya gets the number wrong and summons the wrong girl to the Guardian Tree, and things get very exciting when Masaya's father is on the loose. And overall we get to find out how Masaya and Chiho met and came together.Ayaka's route was a bit lacking, I'm afraid. It just doesn't have the same dramatic effects the other routes have, although when Ayaka gets into a fight with the headmistress, and stuff like that, I can see why this route, despite not being exactly gripping, does have its interesting and thought provoking moments.Overall I give this game an 8 out of 10.. As a person who loves to read, I must say that Princess Evangile is one of the most beautifully crafted visual novels I've ever read. Every charater has their own story and is likeable in their own way. I easily grew attached to each one as they were introduced one way or another. This novel also holds a hefty 25+ chapters, making it one of the longest novels I've read. There's also some aspects of a "choose your own adventure" story in here at certain intervals. While not too many of them are present in the story, they're placed at important intervals that can change the story in unique ways. I also must say that the writing in this novel is astounding. I found myself smiling, laughing, and even crying during many points of the story. Princess Evangile is one of those stories that's well worth the price, as well as also reading over for its four different endings. And yes, I said FOUR ENDINGS.... Ritsuko is Waifu.11/10 Would Buy Again. its a decently produced visual novel about a guy high school student in an all girls high school.Take from it the things you think might be eworth your time.Imagery and transitions are nice. The fact its a high school harem with no story means its a negative review. There are tons of visual novels like this out there. Mangagamer can do better. My personal favorite Visual Novel. Its a long read, but well worth your time and money.I could go on for hours and hours about how much I love it, but instead I'll just say, If you're at all interested in Visual Novels definetly give this one a shot, its one of the best All Ages versions out there.. you are a guy who gets to go to an all girls school that is in need for change so do not mess it up. I have previously played the adult version from MangaGamer, and wow what an emotional experience playing this game. I legit cried during most of the routes. This is a good investment for someone who wants to get into Visual Novels. The game is about 40 hours, with the chance to branch routes about 15-20 hours in (chapter 11 if you were wondering). Each chapter on auto is about 40 minutes, and there are 26 or so chapters per route (though the first 11 are the exact same). So if you get this prepare for a LONG novel. There are four routes, Rise, Chihiro, Ayaka, and Ritsuko. So you play Masaya, a boy with a deadbeat dad whose mom had left earlier. Your dad left you in debt with mobsters, and it's all you can do to not kill him. You're going to drop out of school when the first girl you meet, Rise, manages to get you enrolled in an all-girls catholic private school. It goes about as well as you can imagine. I won't say too much more, but to me the story was super engaging.Note that this is the All Ages version, so pictures have been changed to be less risque and some hentai scenes have been removed entirely. There is no patch to fix this, so to see them you'll have to get the game from MangaGamer ($59.99) but it does come with a steam code if you do so. There is also a fandisk coming out soon "Princess Evangile w/ Happiness" that will expand routes to most of the other ladies in the game.In terms of who my waifu is this game, it's Ayaka Kitamikado.
